Uniform

It is important to turn up to school feeling that you belong and looking ready to learn. Our school uniform does exactly that. It makes our children look smart and provides an identity as a member of our education community.

Uniform with school logo is available to purchase from Steady Schoolwear, Saville Street, Hull, HU1 3EF and available online.

Our school uniform:

• Grey school skirt or pinafore
• Grey school trousers
• Yellow polo shirt
• Brown sweatshirt or cardigan with school logo
• White, black or grey socks or tights
• Sensible, all black shoe, low heeled. Trainers are not allowed

School PE kit, consisting of:

• Black shorts for indoors
• Black jogging pants for outdoor use
• White school T shirt with school logo or a plain white T shirt. No branded sports kits.
• Black sandshoes (indoors) trainers (outdoors)

Please make sure skirts or pinafores are an appropriate length, remember the children need to sit on the floor in the hall for assembly and on the carpets in the classrooms.

Please label all items of clothing with the child’s name.

Children are allowed to wear a watch, which must be removed for PE.

Pierced ears are allowed providing there is only one small stud per ear. The child is responsible for removing ear-studs for PE and games. No other jewellery should be worn. Acrylic nail extensions and nail polish is not permitted.

Hairstyle must be appropriate – no shaved patterns or hair that is dyed an artificial colours.

If you have items of secondhand school uniform which are still in good condition and could benefit a younger student, we strongly encourage you to donate these to the RE:Uniform community group who redistribute these to families on behalf of our school who can make use of them.

Need an item of school uniform?

RE:Uniform also offer free, good quality items of uniform to anyone who requests (subject to availability), they currently have lots of SMC items in stock.

Please note:

• Requests will be filed and delivered to your doorstep.
• Don't worry if you don't hear from them for a few weeks...everything is sorted and picked by unpaid volunteers most Tuesdays.

 

If you are unable to get to a drop off point, please bring good quality items to recycle to the school office.
